I’m ConfectionWitch. I’m a 20something corporate slave/office worker in the US who spends his free time reading and writing about manga.
Reading manga is easily my top hobby and something that I’m very passionate about because I love manga as a form of media. Manga is full of its own distinct literature styles based on Japanese cultural nuances and values that translate into wonderful storytelling potential. Manga as a medium consists of so many different genres with so many different authors crafting their own unique stories that I firmly believe that there is a manga series out there for everybody.
I started this site in May of 2019 with the goal to persuade people to read more manga. This is not a review site. My aim is to post positive, spoiler-free overviews of manga titles focusing on their merits to encourage you to pick them up and give them a try. Whether you end up enjoying the series and agreeing with my points or hating the series and thinking I’m full of it, at least you gave it a try and formed your own opinion.
